About Me

While pursuing my graduate studies back home in South Florida, I recently joined a talented & diverse independent film production team part time in order to contribute my research skills and assist in the production of quality programming.  I am currently seeking to expand my knowledge of the film industry and nurture my interest in documentary film by bringing new and familiar topics to the public in fresh, innovative ways.
I received a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience, with a minor in Culturally Sensitive Models of Public Health Care.  I’ve been blessed to work in the research field for almost 10 years, both in the laboratory and out in the field.  I enjoy working closely with people and am a true seeker of genuine dialogue, discussion and collaboration.  While I attribute my scientific studies to teaching me the ubiquity of “interdependence,” I find this perspective invaluable in my everyday interactions.
As a Science Geek, I especially love learning and finding fun ways to teach Math, Chemistry, & Biology.  The infinitely complex yet simple elegance of natural laws governing ecology never cease to amaze me.  A thorough evaluation of underlying fundamentals is key in order to forge well-informed, creative & mindful solutions.   I take pride in fully exercising my research skills to find accurate, peer-reviewed literature.
I’ve written publications for the Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, served on the Research & Development team for a medical device company and also worked with a cutting edge research team at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.  Currently, I consult for and pursue Brain Based Education solutions.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, with a Cuban and Argentine background.  My travels took me to attend college in Boston, later to the West Coast and eventually living and working at an integrative medical facility on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.  I volunteer regularly, locally and internationally, including with the Misioneros Del Caminoin Guatemala.  Free time is spent on the sand, near the ocean, under the sun with a good book or on horseback; also with my younger brother.
